Unusual in that project was not only the weight of the roll but, above all, the dimension of the label. The Schreiner Services competence center developed a design for that purpose satisfying these special requirements.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]About as long as a baking tray and as wide as an A4 sheet\u2014with its dimensions of 400 \u00d7 210 millimeters, the label clearly is in the range of very large sizes. To reliably guide the web up to the dispensing edge, the experts of the competence center designed a special PeelAssistPlate. This robust guidance unit ensures plane positioning and controlled guidance of the liner material toward the edge. \u201cThe plate stabilizes the plate and enables a clean separation between the label and the liner,\u201d explains Michael Reineke, the head of the competence center. Peel-off, however, was to be achievable without visual contrast edges. The team realized this by means of suitable sensors and slightly chamfered guidance at the dispensing edge enabling mechanically reliably separation\u2014regardless of the properties of the ink or material.<\/p>\n<p>The solution that has been developed shows how challenging label formats can be migrated into stable and efficient dispensing processes.
