In that context, Schreiner MediPharm is presenting an innovative solution: Late Stage Customization is now available also for RFID-Labels. This service enables the production of sophisticated smart labels on short notice and order-specific programming of the integrated RFID chips to support pharmaceutical customers in optimizing their supply chains.

Country-specific regulations, different lan­guages, and various packaging formats require flexible adjustment to demand on short notice. At the same time, cost pres­sures are increasing. This also applies to smart labels with an integrated RFID chip supporting digitalization and interactive application trends. To enable flexible pro­duction of those labels on short notice, Schreiner MediPharm is now extending its Late Stage Customization service to RFID-Labels and NFC-Labels. Those labels are initially preproduced in larger quanti­ties with integrated RFID inlays and stored as semi-finished goods. At the customer’s request, the preproduced labels are sub­sequently customized and delivered on short notice. This enables fast response to customer demand and flexible production processes.

Schreiner MediPharm’s Late Stage Cus­tomization service not only enables high-level customization and short lead times but also ensures reliable performance of the integrated RFID chips due to contin­uous quality inspections. The chips can be variably and individually programmed according to the customer’s requirements. A combination with conventionally prepro­duced functional labels is possible too, for instance with removable labels or inte­grated hangers as well as the integration of functional varnishes or security features.

Schreiner MediPharm’s comprehensive and customized service provides pharmaceutical customers with numerous benefits.
