Outstanding Development at the Dorfen Location
Since it was opened in 1999, Schreiner Group’s plant in Dorfen has seen outstanding development and, with its now more than 70 employees, has become one of the most important employers in town. That’s why Mayor Heinz Grundner together with Head of Business Development & City Marketing Vanessa Moniker engaged in extensive exchange with the CEO and the operations manager of Schreiner Group during a tour of the plant.
„Ich bin beeindruckt, wie hervorragend sich die moderne Fabrik seit der Einweihung vor drei Jahren entwickelt hat, und freue mich, dass bereits über 70 Menschen hier einen attraktiven Arbeitsplatz gefunden haben“, resümierte Dorfens Stadtoberhaupt Grundner nach der Führung durch den Hightech-Standort.
“I’m impressed about the outstanding development of this modern factory since its inauguration three years ago and am delighted that more than 70 people have already found attractive jobs here,” said Dorfen’s mayor Grundner following a tour of the high-tech site. “Generally, we specialize in the development and production of innovative functional labels for a wide variety of industries. The world’s biggest pharmaceutical and automotive corporations are our customers. For instance, more than 300 million patients around the world are inoculated per year with vaccines that are marked with our labels. We’re successively developing our Dorfen site into a center of excellence for our global pharmaceutical customers,” CEO Roland Schreiner explained to his guests.
At the Dorfen site, more than 100 million high-tech labels for the pharma industry are produced per year.
Despite the great success it enjoys the owner-managed company is a hidden champion. “Interested parties often do not know exactly what we produce and are amazed to learn about the fantastic prospects we provide.” At the Dorfen location, in an area of about 5,000 square meters, Schreiner Group manufactures more than 100 million functional labels for the pharmaceutical industry per year—on state-of-the-art high-tech machines. For instance, they include Pharma-Tac, which are robust labels with an integrated hanger for infusion bottles. “In the last three years, we invested about ten million euros in new machines as well as in facility engineering and air conditioning technology. We’re particularly proud of our cutting-edge hybrid printing machine combining conventional flexographic printing with digital printing, leveraging the advantages of both technologies,” explained Lorenz Geiger, Schreiner Group’s Operations Manager.
