Being a sustainable organization through and through is part of Schreiner Group’s self-concept—but goes far beyond that—because neutral observers award the company with top ratings, too. More and more businesses would like to know how sustainably their suppliers act and commission neutral service providers to assess suppliers. EcoVadis is the leader in this field and has recognized Schreiner Group with a Gold rating once again.

Better than 98 percent of all businesses in the printing industry: That’s the result of EcoVadis’ assessment of Schreiner Group—and an impressive success for the high-tech company. “The rating shows that we really assume responsibility for people and the environment,” says CEO Roland Schreiner. “Today, we’re able to actively help shape what the future on our planet will look like. We want to contribute our share to a livable future.” As recently as in 2021, the family-owned company announced a strategic sustainability goal. The ambitious plan provides for climate-neutral production starting in 2023 and for achieving complete climate neutrality by 2030.

EcoVadis assesses a company’s sustainability in a total of four different categories: environment, work practices & human rights, business ethics, and sustainable procurement. Schreiner Group has achieved better-than-average results in all of them. In the environment category, it even scored 90 of 100 possible points and in terms of its CO₂ management, EcoVadis has rated Schreiner Group as a leader with the bestin-class greenhouse gas management system. EcoVadis recognizes the intention to achieve net-zero emissions as a science-based goal.

Schreiner Group is active in numerous networks to engage in exchanges of experience with others in the areas of sustainability, environmental protection, and CO₂ reduction enabling companies to mutually benefit from their knowledge. Most recently, in May 2022, the “Company Network for Climate Protection” was established. Schreiner Group is one of the founding members of this Chamber of Industry and Commerce platform that supports its members in company-level climate protection efforts, among other things.
