To verify that the guidelines, processes, and requirements established by the family business comply with these prerequisites, audits are conducted at regular intervals within the scope of quality management. In 2021, several certification audits took place at the headquarters in Oberschleissheim and at all production sites in Dorfen (Bavaria), Blauvelt (New York), and Fengpu (Shanghai), all of which were completed with great success.

ISO 9001 is a standard for quality management systems. Building on this standard, IATF 16949 certification for the automotive industry establishes further requirements to be met by audited companies. The ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards on the other hand refer to the environmental management system and the occupational health and safety management system.

At all locations worldwide, the certifications according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 were achieved with great success. At the headquarters and in China, where products are manufactured primarily for the Mobility market, additional certifications according to IATF 16949 were successfully conducted. The auditors in Oberschleissheim particularly emphasized the positive and open-minded atmosphere, the company’s outstanding strategic alignment, its risk management, tidiness and cleanliness in the production areas, as well as the helpful support in preparing for the audit.

At the Dorfen production site, the successful introduction of the SAP ERP system that has been rolled out company-wide since January 1, 2021, the highly motivated and engaged contact persons, and the exceptional maintenance system impressed the auditor, among other positives.
