Anniversary in Dorfen:
Successful First Year

In October 2019, Schreiner Group’s most recent production site was launched in Dorfen. At that time, the plant was officially opened by CEO Roland Schreiner and Dorfen’s Mayor Heinz Grundner in a festive ceremony. Now, about a year later, it’s time for an initial assessment: how has the site developed and where is it headed?

After one year, it’s fair to say that the Dorfen production site is a resounding success— and that’s no exaggeration. While production in October 2019 was launched with just 25 employees, now there are more than 60 people working in Dorfen. As a result, the entire shop floor is now operating in a total of eight different shifts. Ernst Werner, the manager of the Dorfen plant, and his entire leadership team and workforce have done an exceptional job of developing the site.

The new Pharma-Tac 1 manufacturing line was just launched in June 2020. The specialty labels of the Schreiner MediPharm business unit have an integrated hanger so that infusion bottles can be hung directly on the label. The screen-printing line was substantially expanded as well. In addition, two screen printing machines including final inspection were relocated from the Oberschleissheim headquarters
to Dorfen this year.

Following the launch of the Pharma-Tac 1 line in June 2020, Schreiner Group has also been producing labels with integrated hangers in Dorfen.

“Our goal is to handle a significant share of the labels for the pharmaceutical industry in Dorfen,” says project manager Matthias Meier. “After this successful year, we’ve come a lot closer to achieving it. It’s great to see with how much energy and enthusiasm everyone is working together on this.”
