Internationally Active:
Focus on India
As an internationally successful company, Schreiner Group produces its innovative high-tech labels and functional parts at its own manufacturing sites in Germany, the United States, and China. But other major national economies such as India are of interest to the hidden champion with an export share of more than 70 percent as well. During a visit to Schreiner Group’s headquarters Mohit Yadav, who served as Indian Consul General in Munich until August 2024, pointed out all the benefits and growth opportunities in his country. At the same time, he indicated that he would greatly welcome an even more intensive commitment by this top-class company or even a branch of Schreiner Group in India.
With a population of more than 1.4 billion, India is now the world’s most populous country and fifth-biggest national economy. That is why it comes as no surprise that an internationally active company such as Schreiner Group intensively investigates the economic opportunities and challenges there—particularly in the healthcare, mobility, and general industry sectors. CEO Roland Schreiner is convinced: “In the medium run, a stronger presence in India in the spirit of robustness and customer intimacy will be helpful for Schreiner Group’s successful development.” The company’s two business units have already been serving the Indian market for many years.
Successfully Active in the Healthcare Market
“India offers an attractive pharmaceutical industry with many FDA-certified production locations and the resulting high potential for Schreiner MediPharm’s entire product portfolio. Through the successful collaboration with a long-standing sales representative, we’ve been active on the subcontinent for a long time and are continuously expanding our business with Indian pharmaceutical customers,” says Dr. Thomas Schweizer, President of Schreiner MediPharm.
High Potential in the Automotive Market
“As far as the relevant segments of the Schreiner ProTech business unit are concerned the Indian market is currently in a development stage—our customers in the automotive industry are active there and together with them we see enormous potential for the future. We’re already selling pressure compensation seals and protective films in India and intensively pursuing the expansion of our local presence,” says Thomas Köberlein, President of Schreiner ProTech.
